Bruno Joins Weathervane Hill

July 31, 2001

Norwalk, CT (USA) - Tom Bruno has left his position at Covington as vice president of sales and marketing and joined Roth Weathervane Hill as executive vice president. Bruno had been with Spectrum since 1986 and then stayed on after Covington purchased it.

Bruno said Weathervane Hill is an exciting company.

"Most of the people here are in their middle 20s to early 30s. It has fresh ideas and fresh product. The environment here is so counter to the corporate offices of the New York converters. A lot of fresh young ideas come out of this place."

Bruno said that most of Weathervane's product is manufactured in India, including wovens, sheers, silks, crewels and novelty products. Bruno said basic plaids are selling well at the moment.
