Baheti Joins Asian Paints

MUMBAI, India—Deepak Baheti has been named General Manager, Furnishings & Wallpaper for Asian Paints, a $3 billion retailer in the highly competitive paint market.
Baheti joined the company in January 2025 after a 17-year career at D’Décor, the largest fabric producer in India. He was Vice President, Sales for D’Décor from October 2021-March 2025. He reported to Ajay Arora, one of the principals of the company.
Baheti is expected to manage the rapidly expanding fabric and wallpaper business at Asian Paints which includes bringing in other fabric resources.
Asian Paints decorative home goods sales, which also includes the kitchen department were four percent of sales in 2024 and is expected to grow to nearly eight percent of sales by 2027 according to Amit Syngle, CEO.
Asian Paints has over 60 ‘Beautiful Home’ stores in India which offer a variety of fabrics and furnishings in 15 cities.
