December 22, 2005

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Florida — Uffner Textile Corp., an 80 year old converter and fabricator of decorative prints for bedding and draperies to the hospitality market has introduced 250 sku's of woven upholstery, made in the USA, said Jerome Uffner, a principal.

"The company hasn't had an upholstery line for 17 years," Uffner pointed out "but designers were now demanding it from us." Uffner is primarily known for its large floral prints in the hospitality trade.

"We made a conscious effort to develop this line from U.S. mills," Uffner confirmed. The backed and finished jacquard and dobby line in Uffner's own designs, passes 30,000-125,000 double rubs depending on the quality and is priced from $11.95-$14.95, he said.

Each of the 50 designs either stands alone or can be coordinated with the Uffner print collection. Custom colors are also available in this yarn dyed, mostly chenille and homespun solid upholstery. The mostly railroaded designs are available in 100 percent polyester to pass IMO standards for the cruise ship industry and in combination with olefin. It is also available in 100 percent Trevira®CS yarns imported from Italy or Avora Plus®, Uffner added.

The line is swatched in color coded books in black, red, gold, blue and earthtones.
