Company Establishes Sales Force in Mexico City, Guadalajara

Chicago — Richmond Textiles Inc. has expanded its North American sales and marketing effort with the appointment of sales representatives in Mexico, according to Paul Richmond, founder and CEO.

"A continuously growing hospitality sector, Mexico is an untapped hospitality design market that appears to be a perfect match for our innovative top-of-the-bed and window covering offerings,'' said Richmond. "Our expansion into Mexico is a natural progression stemming from years of involvement and investment in the hospitality design marketplace in the continental United States."

Earlier this year, Richmond said the company was aiming to double its sales to $12 million in three years.

Leading the company's entry into Mexico are Mexican nationals, Gabriela Lee Alardin, an architect and professor of architecture, who will represent the Mexico City hospitality design community and Oscar Peña Spacio, also a local architect, who will introduce the company's products and services to designers and purchasers in Guadalajara.

Richmond kicked off the launch by hosting more than 30 design professionals at a reception at FAITA, the seat of the Federation of Textiles Industries in Mexico City, to introduce the company and showcase the many product offerings, including the new Kenetex™ line. A similar event is scheduled later this fall in Guadalajara.
