CERNOBBIO, Italy -- F&FI has learned that Proposte 2021 organizers will follow in the Salon del Mobile path in delaying its annual trade show until September, previously postponed until April.

Salon del Mobile organizers announced Nov. 17 the furniture show in Milan would be delaying once again, from its April dates delayed until Sept. 5-10, because of the new wave of coronavirus cases sweeping Europe in November. Traditionally, Proposte dates follow those of Salon the next week, so the new Proposte dates could be around the third week of September, or 13-17.

The new Proposte September dates have not been confirmed by its organizers yet, but a source familiar with the proceedings, who did not want to be identified, confirmed the new September dates to coincide with Salon del Mobile.

Claudio Luti, Salon del Mobile president, says in a Nov. 17 statement the furniture fair was delayed five months because of the latest wave of COVID-19.

Proposte organizers could not be reached for immediate comment.
