BRADFORD, United Kingdom - New collections from Prestigious Textiles were appreciated at this year's Heimtextil fabric fair in Frankfurt, particularly by European fabric buyers, according to company spokespersons.

Particular attention from buyers was given to the company's Carnival series of embellished cottons and voiles, Sierra silk weaves and New York, a collection containing textured woven effects that are enhanced with velvet and metallic detailing for coordinating upholstery, draped and accessories.

''We were pleasantly surprised at the number of visitors to Heimtextil this year, and everyone from our German subsidiary was buoyed up by the pervading positive spirit,'' said Prestigious Textiles' managing director, Trevor Helliwell. ''Whilst there were probably less visitors from the more established markets like the USA, New Zealand and Australia, we were particularly impressed by the numbers of delegates from those parts of the world - like the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, India and South East Asia - which I feel have been under-represented in previous years.''
