Pierre Frey Launches New Collections

February 6, 2008

NEW YORK CITY, New York - Patrick Frey held a presentation at MarieBelle SOHO to introduce the latest BRAQUENIE fabrics, PIERRE FREY fabrics and boussac wallcoverings and fabrics on February 5, 2008.

The boussac collection includes classic designs as well as some new graffiti designs by artist Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. It's wallcoverings are also half classic, half contemporary, combining traditional patterns with brights colors and softer metallic color overlays. Stripe patterns have also been added to the collection.

''This year, wer'e trying to differentiate the [three fabric] brands as much as possible.'' said Pierre Frey. ''The BRAQUENIE brand will be classic French 18th Century, Pierre Frey will be eclectic and ethnic inspired, and Pure Nature, which has just been launched, features organic cotton fabrics in several beautiful basic colors.

This installation of collections is currently launching in the United States after it was launched in Europe. Andre Putnam, a designer, has already used some Pierre Frey in her New York hotel project.

Currently, Pierre Frey is working to launch another big wall paper line in the summer of 2008. And the BRAQUENIE carpet collection comes to the New York showroom in March. ''Pierre Frey is becoming much more global. It is transforming from a fabrics company into a style brand that carries fabrics, wallpaper, furniture, accessories, carpet and lamps,'' said Pierre.
