Mohawk Closes Two Georgia Plants

SUGAR VALLEY, Georgia – As of Spring, 2008, Mohawk Home, a division of Mohawk Industries, will no longer serve as a supplier of throws and decorative pillows as they have for almost 10 years.

The company is shutting down tow of its Georgia plants; both of which produce decorative pillows, woven throws and bedspreads. As a result of declining business in supplying throws and decorative pillows, the company has placed a heavier focus on its soft floor coverngs.
