Hunter Douglas Buys 3Form

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, New Jersey – Hunter Douglas, the huge window covering and architectural product manufacturer, has just announced its most recent brand acquisition, adding to the 166 companies The Hunter Douglas Group already has under its wing.

The Salt Lake City-based manufacturer of translucent resin panels and architectural solutions, 3form, was acquired by the New Jersey-based Hunter Douglas.

3form had $48 million is sales last year, with 310 employees, while the Hunter Douglas Group employs about 20,000 in 101 assembly plants in more than 100 countries.

3form has been making waves in the industry as both residential and hospitality designers for their innovative use of environmentally-friendly materials in wall-coverings and other high-design resin panels for architectural applications. Despite the acquisition, 3form management will remain unchanged, and the company will continue to operate independently, under its own brand name.
