Friedman, Altieri Promoted

NEW YORK, New York — The Robert Allen Group has named Arthur Friedman vice president, commercial accounts.

He was previously vice president, key accounts for Robert Allen. In his new capacity, Friedman will be responsible for the strategic direction and sales of all of Robert Allen's non-residential business. This will include his management of Robert Allen's retail and piece goods business as well as contract sales.

Friedman will continue to report to Paul Sarazin, senior vice president, sales.

Friedman joined Robert Allen in early 2004 after many years of sales and management experience, primarily in the home furnishings industry. He held senior management positions at the Waverly Division of Schumacher and at Covington Industries Inc.

In addition, Aldo Altieri, previously director, contract sales, has been named operating vice president, contract sales. In this position, Altieri will be responsible for the direction and strategy of developing Robert Allen's contract sales and will have its field contract sales team working directly with him. He reports to Friedman.

Like Friedman, Altieri joined Robert Allen in early 2004. Prior to this, Altieri represented the company as a sales representative. His previous experience includes sales positions with Stroheim & Romann, Pindler and Pindler and Duralee Fabrics. He also owned and operated a custom upholstery business.

As previously reported on Sipco.net, Roderick Fruth, formerly vice president of sales for the contract division of The Robert Allen Group, is no longer an employee of the company but both parties will continue to work together in a consulting capacity on a project basis, according to Ron Cordover, chairman and CEO of Robert Allen.
