Decotec to Target Senior Citizens
September 4, 2007
BRUSSELS, Belgium – As part of the Decosit fair, Decotec is set to target a niche market of senior citizens with an exhibit addressing the challenges of high-tech textiles for senior markets.
According to Axl Enthoven, who came up with the concept and design of Decotec's senior citizen project, there are a number of textile products specifically for senior citizens, but these "have to be marketed in a more professional and more innovative way." Enthoven said that Decotec will give the project a platform to showcase materials like nano-technology-infused curtains, anti-bacterial textiles for mattresses and reflective materials which provide enhanced visibility.
