Decosit and DecoContract 2005 Release Exhibitors Lists

April 4, 2005

GHENT, Belgium — Two trade fairs, Decosit, the international fair for upholstery fabrics, and the hospitality-focused DecoContract 2005, have announced the release of their exhibitors lists. Both shows will be held in Brussels, Belgium from September 10-13, 2005, and are held concurrently with Indigo, the designers fair.

The selection of the exhibitors as well as the projects that are presented, aim at both the residential as well as the contract market. Even though residential upholstery dominates Decosit's four halls of 40,000 m2, one third of the exhibitors have contract qualities.

DecoContract covers a wider product range, including window, floor and wall coverings. In short, Decosit and DecoContract are two fairs focusing on two markets.

Decosit and DecoContract plan to stimulate and inspire their exhibitors and visitors at different levels, according to fair director Patrick Geysels. Both fairs concentrate on three projects: Trendforum (hall 9), Hotel Rooms (hall 12) and Decotec (hall 12).

The Trendforum now runs under the trend motto 'Edelweiss.' Edelweiss is an icon, that symbolizes what is pure, authentic, lasting and unique and at the same time represents our urge to immediately fulfill our needs. This urge, which is indicated as instant Edelweiss, combines authenticity and tradition with our needs of today, the fair organizer explains.

The project 'Hotel Rooms,' which was new in 2004, will expand to include ten fully equipped hotel rooms. Textirama, the show's organizer, hopes that visitors will be inspired by theses unique model rooms.

Decotec, organized for the second time, focuses on the presentation of new materials and new techniques. "Decotec is innovation," Geysels said. "Decotec is a new initiative since 2004 that aims to expand the horizons of design professionals and arouse their curiosity by exposing them to new materials and techniques. It is unique because it is the only event in the world that focuses on new materials and techniques in the fabric and interior design sector."

The exhibitors list for 2005 is now available on the Decosit website.
