Crypton Unveils 'In & Out'

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Michigan – Crypton has unveiled the first of many new technologies to premier in 2006: In & Out, color-fast Crypton.
After more than two years of research and development, In & Out will launch at HD Expo in Las Vegas in April.
Look for an entirely black and white, separate booth for the product.
"We have taken a long-hard look at our product, our technologies and the emerging trends and needs within each of our core markets – hospitality, healthcare, contract and residential. Armed with tremendous knowledge and drive, we placed an enormous emphasis on R&D to create ground-breaking technologies that really will change the way people live," said Randy Rubin, co-founder of Crypton.
In & Out is engineered with Crypton's stain, liquid, bacteria and odor resistance integrated into every fiber. It's designed to resist almost every element of life – sun, rain, heat, cold, dirt, kids, bleach – you name it.
"We will be launching each of our new initiatives over the next three months. We are providing better product, a better range of attributes in a more responsible and less-impactful manner. It is going to be an amazing year," Rubin said.
The In & Out collection is made up of 15 patterns, each in six to eight colorways.
The new technology's colorfastness abilities can exceed 1000 hours and 50,000 double rubs. It also has a class five stain resistance.
"In & Out was not an easy task," Rubin said. "In order for any fabric to be Crypton, it has to meet our high-standards – it must be extremely strong, have high abrasion, not pill or tear and be easy to clean. Adding color-fastness and guaranteed bleach cleanability was a bit of a challenge, but one that with time, trial and testing, we were obviously able to overcome."
