Criuse Ship Interiors Expo Moves From June to Sept. 2-3

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- The Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America and Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America changes from its June dates to Sept. 2-3, 2020.

"Postponing the event from June to September we are confident that this global crisis will behind us and that we can come together as a community to discuss the methods and actions required which will protect our supply chains and the cruise industry as a whole,” CEO Toby Walters says in a statement.

The event will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, which is located in Miami-Dade County, where officials have imposed travel restrictions.

“The world has changed immeasurably over the last three months, but the strength of the human spirit endures," says Trevor Young, vice president of Newbuild, MSC Cruises. "The cruise industry is suffering today but it will bounce back, stronger, and coming together at key industry events will speed the industry’s recovery."

Last year, the first Cruise Ship Interiors Expo began and included some well-known, marine-fabric companies, such as P/Kaufmann Contract,  Cruise by Richloom Contract, along with local vendors such as Magitex Décor. Some 150 exhibitors were there for the expo’s launch covering the range of marine interiors for the cruise industry: interior furnishings and finishings, “sustainable” interiors, and design trends, among others.
