December 5, 2005
NEW YORK, New York — Covington Industries, Inc. COO and executive vice president Roger Gilmartin has signed a long term lease for 13,000 square feet of space on two floors at 386 Park Avenue South, New York City.
A Covington staff of 62 people will move to the new offices by yearend 2005. The company was one of the first converters to move off of Fifth Avenue to its current offices on 26th Street.
With the Covington lease expiring, the building owners will develop the space into expensive residential condominiums. Swavelle Mill Creek also leases the second floor of the 26th Street location but will not be affected by the residential development.
As previously announced, Gilmartin and a group of investors are in the process of purchasing Covington Industries from the Gilmore family.
