Big Apple Worldwide Acquires Elabrient Surfaces, LLC

July 6, 2006

NEW YORK, New York — Elabrient Surfaces LLC, the wholly owned subsidiary of Big Apple Worldwide, as of June 2006, has signed on Esther Dunbar-Cullum to further its wallcovering collection for the hospitality industry.

The collection, called "Walls & Floors Cross Media Collection,"™ will coordinate with Dunbar's pre-existing carpet collection for Design Origins, a division of Shaw Industries.

"Adding wallcovering coordinates to my carpet collections was a concept that naturally grew out of my experience designing both media for interior designers on special projects," said Esther Dunbar-Cullum.

"Most often, the walls provide a supporting role to the statement designs and colors used in the floorcoverings, so it is important that the two products are well integrated. We developed the "Walls & Floors" program so designers could integrate products more cohesively. To provide complete product coordination, we custom color the wallcovering to compliment the carpets," she said.

Neal Jablon, president and Bill Byron, vice president of Big Apple Worldwide have announced that Gary T. Rizzo will serve is Elabrient's president, and Joe Kildone will serve as artistic director.

According to Rizzo, "We are very excited about this opportunity to work with Ms. Dunbar-Cullum and Dunbar & Cullum, Inc. on the "Walls & Floors Cross Media Collection"™ marketing concept. No one else in the industry has attempted to design, integrate and market, both carpeting and wallcovering, to the commercial and hospitality markets."
