Glen Raven Steps Up Sunbrella® Global Sales, Design

Burlington, NC (USA) Glen Raven Inc. with F&FI estimated sales of $200 million plus, is stepping up international sales and design efforts on behalf of its Sunbrella® brand with the appointments of Suzie Roberts  as VP, Global Sunbrella Business and Greg Voorhis, Executive Director, Global Design, both new positions.

Glen Raven has weaving mills based in Lille, France and Suzhou, China. The privately held company owned by the Gant Family sees additional opportunities for Sunbrella sales growth in Europe and China to China through these facilities.

Glen Raven says it has a global presence in 23 countries across six continents. It specializes in the awning, marine and upholstered furniture markets and produces its own yarn.

Roberts hopes to leverage her 35 years of textile sales and customer experience in order to lead the global sales and commercial teams, the company says. She was previously  VP of Sales & Design for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics. Voorhis, with 30 years of textiles experience behind him, was previously Executive Design Director of Glen Raven. Both executives joined Glen Raven when their companies were acquired.

Roberts reports to Joseph Davis, President, Glen Raven Material Solutions Group, the makers of Sunbrella outdoor fabric. Voorhis reports to Andrew Bernard, VP, Global Product Development.

Tom Notaro replaces Roberts in her former capacity for Sunbrella Furnishings Business as Senior General Manager. He is expected to enable greater collaboration with Sunbrella manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and jobber sales teams.
