Weak Currency Causes Costa Blanca's Exit from U.S. Market

May 20, 2008

HIGH POINT, North Carolina — Costa Blanca Textiles, a Spanish upholstery maker, has cited the depreciation of the U.S. dollar as the reason behind its impending exit from the country's market. The company's Unisuede microfiber line will be acquired by JLA Home Fabrics for an undisclosed amount.

The Unisuede line will continue to be produced in China and then stocked in JLA's Reidsville, N.C. storehouse. JLA, a globally integrated home furnishing products company, has showrooms throughout the world including New York, Ontario and Shanghai.
