Nannucci, Rigo Create Naturals

COMO – Italy – TF Textile Field, a new mill owned jointly by Claudio Rigo and Franco Nannucci has started to produce a collection of natural yarn dyed cotton warp fabrics for the decorative jobber and wholesaler.

Nannucci was stationed at the Figli Di Rigo Andrea stand during Proposte in May discussing the new business with customers. Rigo is a 100 year old mill based in Chieri, Italy. Textile Field will weave its new collection in an existing mill that formerly produced cotton warp apparel fabrics in Italy. It will weave primarily dobbies and a few jacquard designs to compliment existing Rigo products, Nannucci said.

The first line will be shown at Decosit at the Rigo stand "The goal of Textile Field is to have a tailor made production for our customers with prices from 7 – 12 Euros F. O. B., Nannucci said. "The idea is to have production be complementary to Rigo and will give us the opportunity to offer more products to current and future customers."

Nannucci said that Rigo is a specialist in the drapery market but in the last eight years, it has grown in the upholstery business. Rigo intends to increase its investment in more and better products, he said.

Nannucci will have direct responsibilities with Claudio Rigo, the principal of both mills and Robert Beozzo, in product development and marketing/sales strategy of the Rigo line as well. The two collections will have links of color and ideas to give the customers the possibilities to mix and match easily exactly what they like, he said.

Nannucci was formerly with Loomcraft Tessuti in Greensboro, N.C. for the past three years and previous to that post, he was export manager for Mario Sirtori. He has 18 years of experience in the fashion and decorative fabric export business.

"Today, your customers must be your partners – or you have no customers. If you as a mill are going to be important to your customers, then you need to be able to weave small quantities that are tailor-made for them," Nannucci said.
