Microfibres Launches Two Collections

June 27, 2008

CERNOBBIO, Italy – Microfibres, a manufacturer of high performance stain-resistant flocked fabrics, launched its Pure and Vision collections at Proposte this past May. Pure is a collection of white and beige woven fabrics, and the Vision collection is a flock on denim upholstery collection made with 100 percent Belgian denim.

"The new trend is white," said Marijke Claeys, sales manager at Microfibres. "It is a sensitive color to have in your house, all our products are cleanable with water and soap. Other fabrics that are woven have to be treated with chemicals – people don't like that anymore." The Pure collection includes white, grey and silver colorways. "This is something we're spreading to our international distributors," continued Claeys. "This is why we're doing so well internationally. People feel safe getting a light color with us because you can easily clean it."

The Vision collection targets a young audience with its fresh design and graphics. Vision comes in six colorways. "From what I've seen people are very surprised that we came out with something so young," said Claeys. "We are a European company and we have a European vision and we learned that that vision is marketable internationally," she added.
